Reader's Response #1 - Week of 2/14/11

Whoohoo more Clique books! This one's called Best Friends for Never. Basically, it's getting close to Halloween, and some people think Massie is "slipping". To keep her status as the most popular girl, she decides to throw a huge boy-girl Halloween party. The only problem is that she has to co-host with Claire, who doesn't know the first thing about throwing a party. She hires a professional party planner and throws the party, but Claire keeps getting in the way. The book goes really slowly, and I'm pretty sure the only thing that it talks about is the party. This book isn't really as interesting as the first one, because not much happens. I don't really like books where the whole plot is centered on one event, but I'm not going to drop this book yet. Knowing me though, my next reader's response will probably be about how I'm getting sick of this book.
